Dr. Felix Ong

Chairman

Dr Felix Ong was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Seksun Group, world's leading hard disk drive component maker that was named by Forbes Global as one of the best 200 companies outside of the U.S. He built and grew the humble metal stamping shop of under 10 employees since inception in 1981, to a 3000-man strong, SGX Main-Board listed enterprise with manufacturing footprints across U.S., China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Seksun was acquired by Citi Venture Capital International for S$295 Million. 

Formerly the Chairman of Singapore Precision Engineering and Tooling Association (SPETA), Dr Ong also served on other Main-Board listed firms such as Advance SCT Limited, a global recycling and waste management company, and performance fabric manufacturer China Taisan Technology Group Holdings Limited as Chief Advisor. He has also been actively involved in funding and nurturing technology startups through Seksun Investments. Companies include Harvest Multimedia that develops, manufactures and distributes of its own range of Digital Multimedia Recorders (DMRs) under the brand JV Labs, Enzymatics Ltd, an Australian life sciences companies, Alantac Technology (IPO in 2006) and Shareinvestor.com (acquired by Singapore Press Holdings).

Kelvin Ong

Chief Executive Officer

With over 15 years of experience in precision engineering and technology, Kelvin is the Executive Director of Focus-Tech Holding, formerly the holding company of the Seksun Group, world’s leading hard disk drive component maker. He was instrumental in driving the company’s strategic investment and business development efforts in Singapore, US, China, Thailand and Malaysia that culminated in its S$295 million exit. 

He is also the founder and CEO of FocusTech Ventures, a seed stage investment firm and approved technology incubator under the NRF-IDMPO’s iJAM Reload Scheme, primarily focusing on opportunities around enterprise web, mobile and hardware/internet of things. As an entrepreneur and active angel investor, Kelvin currently serves on the board of several technology startups and traditional businesses. Passionate about hardware, Kelvin went on to co-found OneMakers Group that aims to develop the regional maker ecosystem. Kelvin holds a BA degree from the National University of Singapore and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Nanyang Business School.

Gloria Lee

Marketing Strategist

Gloria Lee has experience in industry and business development in the public and private sectors, where she created strategic business, communications and marketing plans to effectively deliver against both global and local goals.

In Motorola, she was extensively involved in the development of marketing and communications content for use by regional sales and marketing teams across Singapore and Emerging Markets. Gloria later joined SAS, the world's largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market, where she was responsible for the implementation of marketing programs targeted at existing and new customers in both Singapore and Emerging Markets, as well as for developing and managing the effective utilization of an integrated marketing engine. Most recently, Gloria was instrumental in managing the $40 million IDM Jump-start And Mentor (i.JAM) funding initiative hosted by the Media Development Authority, a nation-wide start-up incubation program focused on growing early stage start-up investment and entrepreneurship for the Interactive Digital Media industry in Singapore.
